Do you need Web 2.0 on your website?

Not neccessarily - we will work with you to decide what, if any, social media tools would work well with your business goals.

What does "Web 2.0" mean?

Simply put: It's a term used to describe a more "socially-focussed" internet, where websites open up their information and services rather than trying to keep users and assets on their own website. The term was first used back in 2004.

Some more detail about web 2.0:

It is a dated phrase now, and was first coined in 2004 by Tim O'Reilly to describe a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services (such as social-networking sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies) which aim to facilitate creativity, collaboration, and sharing between users.

Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the Internet as platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform.
